Hey there, I'm Anouk, living in The Netherlands and you can all blame René for introducing me a while ago.

I'm photographing at the same venue as René, sometimes I take the pics, sometimes he does, sometimes we both do.

René thought it would be a good idea to share some of my Mediaeval Baebes pics of the 1st of December over here. And of course I'm curious what you all think about my photography, so here it goes!

I find this type of photography to be challenging. I assume you have lots of primes. ;)

One good thing is you have a lot with good color. I assume this is because they didn't turn the place into a color changing light show and it was just about the singers.

The first one is hilarious to me. Does she know her dress is see through?

Very good color, clear pictures, great lighting, I like them all. Given you where at ISO1600, I think they looks good. And no goofy facial expressions. Looks like good work to me.

The Medieval Baebes? I would lay odds that she does...

But I love the pictures - lovely and close, and detailed, with great colour and clarity.

Ah, another Rene trainee, much as myself. How many costume changes? Images are very nice and I love the first. No lighting on the band?

#4 still favorite overhere. #3 is nice as well. As is the rest.
Duh.. Not much to comment on, as I know the circumstances, and I know what I shot :p

Judging from the way the ladies played the audience: Yep.
I think Anouk was one of the few female photographers that night (I was one of the many male photographers ).
My shots will probably take another week or more to get through the pipeline, but I doubt they are better then these... Different: Yes. Better: Nope.
Always nice to have a different viewpoint for the same show... Hey Dwight: Need an apprentice?

First: Thanks all of you for the big compliments!

Hmmm not really, most of the pics are shot with my 85mm F1.8 and besides that I just had a broken 24-70 Sigma and a 50mm F1.8. Haven't checked all the photos but what I just checked has been taken with my 85mm or 50mm or one of René's lenses (35mm or 20-35mm, don't know, at least it has been used at 35mm at the photos I just checked in case of having used the last one).

One good thing is you have a lot with good color. I assume this is because they didn't turn the place into a color changing light show and it was just about the singers.

Hmmm yeah, lighting was very good for Atak-circumstances. Lighting has been done by someone usually doing theatre-stuff so yeah; nice colours and not too flashy.

Very good color, clear pictures, great lighting, I like them all. Given you where at ISO1600, I think they looks good. And no goofy facial expressions. Looks like good work to me.

Hmm yeah I shot at ISO1600 like 95% of the time. I prefer using a somewhat smaller aperture (when possible) above less noise.

You really should! I thought tose girls would be just looking pretty good, but (surprise!) they turned out to be good singers aswell!

Only 3 different outfits; white, black and they finished in red. Indeed no lighting on the band; it was all about the baebes (okay, okay, the band was mentioned and had a big applause after the baebes finally sang their whole repertoire, but besides that, they were just sitting there in the dark ;) )

Hmm, have to rephrase that as I'm making my selection: My shots are worse actually
