Changing Focus Screens on the 40D

Has anyone changed the focus screen on the 40D.
I am looking at the instructions that come with the new screen and I am confused and worried about how difficult or tricky this process is.

Can anyone find a post that will spell out (with illustrations) the process of changing screens.

I've done it many time - and on my 5D and 1DMKIIN as well. The process is simple and quick. Just follow the pictures in the instructions and you'll be fine. In fact, if you need more help, there was a recent thread where someone showed the entire process in photos. You might do a search for it.

Huh, I changed it on both my 40D and 5D with no problems. I thought it was surprusingly simple. Maybe youre just being too paranoid about damaging and you making it more difficult than it really is?

If you like to manually focus, a split prism screen or a precision screen makes it much easier. If you like to have horizontal and vertical grids etched on your screen to aid in composition, there's a screen for you too. Flexibility is the key.
