Hi all,

I have some (stupid) questions about this promotion.
I have ordered few lenses and I need some informations before printing my registration form.

Which bare code am I supposed to cut ? I have three of them on the box
The first one is a sticker and is apparently the serial number (as written on the box)...
The two other are printed on the box.
The first one appear just under the lens name in bold and next to the following info
' EAN/JAN code '.
The last one is next to ' UPC code '.

Which one do you cut and send to canon ?

Final question, the serial number is the number above the first bare code which ends by [AA], or the one on the barrel of the lens ?

Thank you all for your answer.

Thanks to you I'll finally claim my cash back soon... :D

Laurent.

I always send both :).

Oh, and I peel off the cardboard once cut out.

Another thing I do is send the stuff by Registered Mail. That way I am sure it will arrive.
Oh, and don't forget to make photocopies for your own records prior to sending the forms off.

HTH, kind regards, Wim

Thanks Wing.

And what about the serial number ? Which one did you enter on the online registration form ? The one on the lens box or the one on the bottom of the barrel at the mount end ? (For your information those lenses for wich I claim the cash back are L, those are my first L lenses, so I don't know if it's located there...) ;-)a

Laurent.

the number on the lens is the serial. Should match one of the numbers on the box. I thought rebates are instant till Jan 13?? It has cost me a lot of money since I hate mail ins. I have been on a shopping spree.

Yes, with L-lenses, and some of the non-Ls, it is located on the back of the lens, and it is similar to the lens number on the box. On the box there are sometimes a few extra numbers preceding the number you'll find on the lens itself, if I am not mistaken.

Sorry, I can't check right now, otherwise I would. I have used the cash-back system quite a few times already :).

HTH, kind regards, Wim

That's in the US, we're talking EU here :).

Rebates, or rather, cash-backs, here run till 31/12/2007, for purchases, and you have to send the proof in before 31/01/2008.

Kind regards, Wim

Thanks for the informations Wimg.

I'll check the code on the barrel and the one on the sticker and then send the one from the barrel (shorter than the other). For the bare code I'll send both of them to be sure I'll received my precious money back... :-D

Laurent.
