Agree about the cropping being too tight. But the angle is very flat and centered.
I was at a renaissance faire and caught this at weapons demo while watching the demo.

Good idea and subject... I like the attempt at this...

JR, I have a Flintlock (Firestorm) 50 cal. rifle... Have yet to hunt with it... It's a popular subject in hunting states... I'd also recommend taking several captures of the ignition, provided the shooter is going to reload and stick around for you... Good luck with your idea... Just watch your eyes and lens, black powder is dirty/messy.
