Your sig line says Canon 10D, and 420EZ flash.

Any xxx-EZ flash is kind of incompatible with a 10D.

You might run a search on the topic and see if it has been covered at depth before. But for the record, I anything Lexar. I am also happy with Transcend (a 32X 1Gig); I just got a Lexar 512 40X. They have 80X out now. Never had a problem. I've had problems with Sandisk and I've read a lot of negative on them.
I've heard good things on Viking

Lexar, Transcend, Viking appear to be overall good.
Speed translations: (1X=150KB/sec.), (4X=600KB/sec.), (12X=1.8MB/sec.), (32X=4.8MB/sec.), and (40X=6.0MB/sec.) transfer rate respectively)

What are you talking about?

Anyways, people will bash sandisks speed but i just bought my second, an ultra II this time and its plenty fast for me. With a 10D i'm not so sure if any "super fast" card is going to matter that much as the bottle neck is the slow write times of the 300D/10D.

They are cheap, and the work great...i've got no problem with the sandisks.

No problem. Ten years ago, the EZ flashes were the big thing. All of the numbers ended that way then.

I would say Sandisk Ultra 2. (I have a 512mb version) Thats what I use, and couldn't be happier.

Read somewhere that the Sandisk Ultra II improves the performance of even the 300D. So I'm sure the same thing applies to 10D.

Just a note on the Lexar 80X CF cards. Lexar is coming out with a revised 80X card later this month that is completely reworked and will be much faster in some cameras. If you can hold off, do so and wait for the new batch. There will be no easy way to know the difference on sight other then the production date on the side. For more info go to:
