I hear it not much better than the Canon 75-300 with two 2 x teleconverters, so I am going that route...

Good job......I showed this to my wife......after muttering a few expletives, she said something to the effect that what I buy isn't bad at all!

The main problem as I see it is that they only have one. We all know that we should buy 5 copies (at least) of this lens, take hundreds of photos of brick walls and newspaper, and then return the four worst ones. The fifth gets sent to Canon for calibration.

If I spent $99K on a lens I would expect Canon to come and see me to calibrate the damn thing :-)
