Where do you store your pics? Not necessarily as a backup, just everyday, for accessing to edit or view. But also for having all your pics in one place. I have three internal drives, one just for pictures and nothing else.

Got the poll up now. Not looking for a backup process. Just wondering what everyone does for everyday storage.

I load photo processing software on all my computers. I put the files on a portable hard drive and save them to DVD as well. The DVDs go into a fire safe and the bank (2 locations). The hard drive is in my laptop bag. When I fill the portable drive I'll buy another and put the old one in my fire safe.

I just bought a 1tb I use to store photos and other data files (not programs). I then have a seperate (still internal) 250gb which I use to backup just the raws. I then periodically backup the raws to DVD just in case.

I have an internal 750 GB drive that contains data, photos, videos, work, etc... All music is on a second 750 GB drive. I have 2 750 GB media drives that I use as backup for the data drive. I keep one off site and the other in the computer. Once a week I switch. The music rarely gets backed up as it only costs me money and can be redone. I do back it up to a 750 GB drive once a month.

You left no option for me so I did not vote.

But, everyday storage is worthless without a backup plan as an integral part of it.

I agree, backup is very important. But your back up should not be what you use for everyday viewing and working on.
