Looking for your opinions and experinece. If you have any basis for a preference among these labs, please let me know. They all look good, but actual service and experience is what I need to know about. Especially if you've used more than one of these.

Thanks,
Mickey

I like Millers, and more than anything probably because I came from Mpix, and they are the same company. But I will tell you they have great customer service, their product is excellent, and they have a VERY fast turnaround! I have had to call in once for help with my business card, and they were great, the lady didn't hang up with me until she had my order in front of her, and was very helpful. And every time I order I either get it the next day, or the day after, and of course, with free shipping. Plus I just have my credit card on file, so they just bill it, and I just place orders whenever I want without having to do anything with payment, then I get a statement each month with all my purchases and how much was billed to my card - really works out great!! I'm sure WHCC does the same with billing, but I'm just letting you know my experience with Millers, and I'd vote for them!
FYI - I am just a portrait photographer though, not a wedding photographer, but I don't think that would change anything in this case

I have used WHCC several times and use them for all reprints. Free shipping, reasonable prices.

I sent a selected group of pictures to several labs (probably close to 10) to see what kind of pictures they produce and WHCC reproduced faithfully what I see on my computer.

I use WHCC solely for all my prints, and have not a single complaint about them.

Thanks Jenni, Dick and Mario. I too had a good experience with Millers, though it was an MPIX order for business cards. The back side was turned around. I wrote to them, got a reply from Millers and they reprinted the whole order and shipped in place in 2 days. That service was stellar. I have a fellow photog in the area who loves WHCC, so that makes 3 strong votes. I got a great introduction package from CPQ. Nice stuff. Also came with a $50 credit for services. I'll use that to help make up my mind.

Thanks to all.

WHCC here as well. Never had a complaint with them, superb service, fast, and very consistent high quality prints.

Hi Mickey,

I haven't heard of CPQ. The print quality of both WHCC and Millers is about the same, I found. Both let you get their profiles for soft-proofing. From my recent comparison, WHCC has lower price for regular prints, proof prints, and gallery wraps. I realized that their product line is somewhat limited, though. Millers offers more and their shipping costs are included already. Don't remember WHCC's shipping cost approach...

I use Color Inc. They use Fuji paper which for color prints is imperative!

There customer service is awesome!

Hi Ed! WHCC (external link) shipping is free with a $12 minimum order, and some services are excluded from free shipping. I've heard nothing but good things about WHCC and Millers (external link), and more about WHCC. CPQ (external link) is featured on DWF and advertises in Rangefinder. They have a promotion of a free sample kit and a $50 credit for a new registration. I'll try out some of their services with that $50, for sure. Thanks Ed.

Prints are cheap, send the same files to each lab and see which prints you like best.

Thanks Tim, I do intend to do so, but I sure appreciate the comments about experiences too. I recently had a bad print job from one dealer. Apparently there was dust on the paper when it was exposed and left random white spots on 11 enlargements. The lab immediately reran the job and overnighted it to me. That responsive service was a very big positive, but the experience makes me want to get not only a good printer (which I had up until a couple weeks ago) but a broad selection of professional products and reliability. Since I've not heard any negative reports, I will select a couple from the positive remarks here and give them a whirl.

I am surprised that there are no comments regarding CPQ. Their sample pack and web site are very professional and comparable to WHCC and Millers.

Thanks also to pyterps (hey neighbor!) and shownogo for your input!
