Thanks.

It turns out that their EX series has an additional 3 year warranty (on top of the base for a total of 4 years) in the US only. I didn't realize that until they told me they'd do it but they needed my warranty card (this is after they told me twice that it was not in warranty). I pulled it out of the box last night and lo and behold - 4 years!

I never use anything else... If it needs correction, I do it in PP.

Happy 46th Chief!

May I echo those sentiments? Congratulations!

I agree with your statement about being a marriage junky. In fact, I like it so much, I've done it three times. This one is the last one. That's what she says...

I'm so tired  But extremely thankful for yesterday. You know what it's like to find one thing on your list but to find everything...?? :)

I keep thinking today has got to be a downer in comparison.

I have a question for anyone here who has experience with the 70-200 f2.8 IS...

Thursday evening I have to drive up to Beverly Hills and shoot at this (external link) event. The editor has cautioned me about the low light at the venue. I have my new Tamron 28-75 f2.8 (which I purchased after shooting a similar event with the 28-135) and I'm thinking about renting the 70-200 f2.8 to get a little bit more reach. I don't know how close I'm going to be able to get to the podium during the awards.

If anyone has experience with this lens in low light situations, I'd like to hear about them.

Thanks. It's hard to image that 46 years ago, I was a relatively happy, carefree single man. By the end of the day, things were very different.

I am now a die-hard marraige junkie.

Congrats! We're only 34 years short of you. . .
