I guess the 600 would be the better lens to use for that rather than trying to invade someone's personal bubble with the macro....

Do well enough and you may have earned enough for the 800 when it ships. Or you could go for the SigMonster.

That works too :)

Nope. He's got Charter Cable - the people who managed to "lose" 14K mailboxes, unrecoverably. Hence the desire to move to something more reliable. Like 2x tin cans on a string.

Some people are rather unobservant. Someone else just spotted it yesterday or today too.

Oh burn!!!

But so true!

Though I have to say.. on our 100Mbps fiber through them we have only lost service twice - and both of those were from the OTHER cable provider whose fiber we use for the last 10 miles...

We've gone bck to insisting they send us a paper bill nd get paper payment after they double- or triple-charged us for a service call to change our cable service, then failed to send us copies of the invoice for the next several months, then gripe because "we hadn't been paying". Well, whose fault's that? And their rates are going up faster than medical rates or college tuitions.

They didn't bill us for 6 months... and each bill is around $1.6k... they claimed they forgot....

How do you forget to bill a $1.6k customer?

When we lived in Texas, they changed how water was billed in our apartment. When we signed the lease, it was included in the rent. When we went to renew, they were in the process of changing it, but didn't have the system up and running when we re-signed. When we went to renew the next time, we were told we hadn't paid for the last 12 months of use -- use that we'd never received a bill for at any point during those 12 months. They were threatening eviction and all kinds of other stuff.

I was in the office arguing about it when another resident walked in and said he'd never been billed either. We started checking around and NO ONE in the entire complex (16 buildings of 8+ units a building) had been billed, but somehow the management never noticed. Why it didn't come up until we went to renew I could never find out. Maybe the previous residents to renew just rolled over and paid it?

They apologized for the mistake, dropped all threats, and gave us a discounted rate for the next year for the inconvenience. They finally got the water billing working 6 months later. My guess is that the 18 month screw up probably cost the owners at least 70K on the water.

That still amazes me. A whole bunch of people ought to be looking for new employment over that one.
