Interesting.....

Now that I'm home, the film talk has reminded me of something I've wanted to do for the last six months. Dig up my archives and look at the film edges to determine what film I used back in those days. Apparently I shot a lot of Fuji Superia 200, Kodak Gold 200/400. And even more interesting is that I have loads of prints WITHOUT negs. Oh well. Guess I didn't value the negs back in those days as a kid.

What a difference from today when my film choices are Fuji Velvia/Provia, Ilford Delta/FP/HP and Kodak Tri-X/Plus-X. Wouldn't be caught dead with that Kodak Gold stuff. :p

Just so that you guys are kept in the loop, Brittney Spears had another meltdown. I know you've all been wondering what's been going on with her. It's been a couple of days since we've heard anything about her and I was a bit concerned. But no worries. The media's all a-buzz again.

Do any of you remember the first photos you ever took?

I remember my first reaction was "WTF, how come there are dark areas in my photos"

My reaction is still the same "WTF, how did I manage to get my fingers in front of the lens? At least with SLR lenses they're too big to do that.."

Getting your fingers in the firing line of the 100-400 for example would take some SERIOUS work :D

I'm more like "WTF did I take a photo of my bike against a wall?"

The girl has some serious problems, for sure. I'm actually starting to feel sorry for her, although not nearly so much as for her children. What disturbs me even more than her meltdown is the morbid fascination so many people seem to have with the whole thing. It's sad.

We have kind of the same situation over here in the UK with Amy Winehouse, who's been in and out of rehab (although she's not as broken as Britney).

It seems a shame that someone close to them doesn't just shut them away from the media for a while, give them a good talking to, support them, and get them right again.

I guess that's what's currently happening with Robbie Williams. Hope he's getting good help someplace.

She's a train wreck. One of those train wrecks that doesn't involve just a couple of cars, but the whole line of cars.

You're right about the kids. It's tough being a kid in the first place, and it's tough living in a dysfunctional family, but I can't imagine what it would be like to live as a kid in a dysfunctional family when everything your parents do is smeared all over every tabloid, TV, internet new page and POTN. Unless someone with a level head steps in, those kids are in for a long and disrupted life.

Chief, you and Lois should adopt them.

I can't stand hearing about crap like this. This is precisely why I don't watch the news, stay away from TMZ and ETV, and hide my eyes from the magazine stands at grocery stores.

Oh we get to hear about her too.

I'm far more worried about the situation in Kenya at the moment. For a country that used to be a great tourist destination (a friend of mine got engaged there just a few years ago), it's scarey to see just how things have deteriorated.

I'm shocked at the inhumane barbaric treatment that neighbours are inflicting on neighbours.

Yeah, I realise that we shouldn't discuss politics, but what I saw on last nights news bulletins really got to me.

Maybe life is fair...some people get to cash in, make millions, and end up in a trainwreck.

You know, if I ever had a chance to make my millions, I'd go quietly and stay out of the limelight..

I'm with you on this. Sudan, Rwanda, Somalia, now Kenya, the list goes on and on.

Oh, and I reported your political post. ;)
