Did a pretty intensive shoot today, got to exercise a new set of GNDs at the High Island Reservoir in Sai Kung, Hong Kong. The series really shows how light changes from just before the 'golden hour' to just after. Hope you like 'em! Let me know what you think.
1 - 4:30pm, well before sunset, a gold cast sets in.
2. 5:20pm - right before sunset, a wonderfully warm glow covers the land.

3. 5:31pm - the sun starts to dip behind the mountains.

4: 5:33pm - the sun just falls out of sight, a good deal of contrast and colour is lost, but the warm glow remains.

6. 5:48pm - just into sunset now, the warmth fades, and is replaced by a nice cool light.

7. 6:11pm - right before dusk, a wonderful purple glow bathes the now-dark reservoir.

8. 6:20pm - it's dusk now. It's dark all around, apart from the light purple glow from behind the mountains. It takes a 30 second exposure at ISO 1600 to grab this.

I managed to lose my tripod leg adjustment key on my Manfrotto 055XProB whilst trekking down to this location. Hopefully it's easy to find a new one. Sorry for the huge number of images!
