So granted I've had my camera since Christmas day, but I've been having so much fun playing with it that I just haven't taken time to post anything on here yet!

Granted, this is NOT a duck.... but a chicken is KIND of like a duck, so I thought maybe you guys would let it slide this time! lol

You guys have all been great! I've learned more from POTN than any class or book has ever taught me. Thanks to everyone!

Congrats on your purchase and although thats a great shot it's not a duck. You may need to hit Toys R' Us and get a rubber duckie real quick before the mods exile you to the "Bird" forum.

I second that, kick it back down to 1024 on the longest side.

:edit: Sorry to the op, congrats and keep posting. It's a fun camera, enjoy.

Was that directed towards me... or the other guy? I was certain that mine was no more than 1000 pixels on the longest side.

*edit* Thank you everyone for the comments... I had my heart set on a 40D when it was first announced but later decided to "start small" and I have to admit that I am REALLY loving this camera so far! It packs a lot of good stuff into such a small body! :-)

Thank you! I have noticed a lot of your posts in the time that I spent "lurking and camera-less." I like what I've seen so far! Keep up the good work! :-)
