The English invented Cricket because they couldn't hit a 90mph + fastball  !

Maybe Lightrules created cricket because his camera can only shoot 3 FPS.:lol:

I bet they don't have cool nicknames like "Catfish" Hunter( Bob Dylan even wrote a song about him) or the best sports song, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILFWDwVJQxs (external link)

Geez. Was that song really from 25 years ago?

Still, there are other great nicknames.

We'll never forget Dogballs Malone!

:lol::lol::lol:

Mmm 101.3mph fast enough for ya? Shoaib Akhtar fastest bowler ever (he gets a mere 101.2mph here):

What are you guys talking about...
There's nothing better than a test match that goes the full five days.
You just don't understand the intricacies of the long version of the game.
It's not just about a fast bowler trying to take the batsman's head off etc.
It's the mind games the skippers play - who to bowl, when to declare etc, etc.
Have a look at the last three Sydney Tests - two of them were decided with just minutes and a handful of deliveries left to play after five days - riveting stuff. Or the last Ashes Adelaide test that Australia should never have won when England set 500 plus in their first dig - amazing stuff.

Just watch the highlights on TV. Test cricket is like watching a chess match that lasts 5 days... not everyones cup of tea... well not most people's cup of tea.

I like it when Australia wins the Ashes though, I don't know how it all works out, but I like to hear the results.

Never seen a 20/20 match. I've heard of it though (I've been in HK for 10 years). I use to really like to watch 1 day matches. They got pretty exciting and it was fun waiting for a wicket/boundary.

Akhtar (mentioned above) : Rawlapindi Express (Express Pace :D )
Donald : White Lighting
The Turbanator :) Harbhajan Singh

Heck, blast from the past, Joel "Big Bird" Garner.

Batsmen like Jayasuriya "The Master Blaster", Tendulkar "The Little Master". Heck Aravinda De Silva was called "Mad Max" early in his career, and we have "Captain Cool" Arjuna Ranatunga. (Only lost his cool once. Damn famous scene that was :D )

I mean, nice win today, but the Celtics apparently forgot they need to rebound the ball on missed shots. Someone needs to deliver a swift kick in the ass and remind them that.

I Love LA...we love it!

Another nice win for us...at Boston too. 2 more baby...2 more. And another parade on Figueroa :D

I love it. Lightrule's Title ("flat out embarrassing") then under it his (current) avatar looks like a Laker's player missed a shot and the ball is bouncing off his head.

Classic comedy.

Geez. The Lakers again.

Anybody remember George Mikan, the first famous Laker?

T20 is like a 50 over game on speed.
Great fun to watch and thoroughly entertaining - in the main, the purists really hate it

Closest I could compare it to is a RugbySevens match

They have rugby sevens in Hong Kong every year. I don't know Rugby.

I think I'd like to see a T20 match.
