Now if you read page 81 fully, you will find that if you hold down the AF button as you select the mode, you can get the H and L modes concurrently, so you can get a 15 frame burst at an additive 9.5 fps (6.5+3), very limited but cool.

I wasn't sure if you were joking or not, i actually looked up the manual :o

And BTW, good to see my spreading of heatware has rubbed off on you :D

With a forum like ours, who NEEDS the stinkin' manual, eh?:p

EVERYONE REPEAT AFTER ME: LIGHTRULES IS AN IDIOT!

Thanks JC4, you've solved my problem. Ridiculous, and flat out embarrassing. I just hope PetKal doesn't see this thread.

6.5 FPS is a lovely sound...

[FWIW, my 20D doesn't have this different mode so I never even thought about it.]

Glad you conquered it but how bout doing us an actual timed calculation Jojo ... :D

LOL poor lightrules. I did this myself with adjusting iso when I bought the 40D, lucky for me I'm pretty much an unknown on these forums lol...

Reminder to self- double, then triple check the manual before posting a question. :)

The Fairy sure is taking his (or her) time.

I second the call for a real count on the fps.

This thread shouldn't die. Its, umm, a great lesson to others.

Not sure what the lesson was, but there must be one there

Mark, as stated in my first post, it's disabled. Thanks anyways.

Then I'm obviously the idiot around here.

I say this thread should become a STICKY.

The store should sell T-SHIRTS...."If Lightrules Doesn't Read the Manual, WHY SHOULD I"?:lol: They'd sell like hotcakes.

I bet the new threads triple for people asking questions like:
"my viewfinder is dark. why? And what does the lens cap have to do with anything"
Or "I push the button but nothing works. Do I actually NEED to charge the battery?"
Or (my personal query) "Is Lightrules Really Petkals secret love child?"
