Sorry for interrupting this nice little story, but I'd like to add something which at least has some kind of relevance to the original question in this thread.

(Funny thread when you feel obliged to apologize for discussing what it's really about, isn't it?)

Anyway, I took a rather long burst the other day, a burst as long as the 40D could handle, using large/fine jpeg. The camera was set at 1/3200 s and f/4, which was one step down, as I used the EF-S 17-55 mm f/2.8 IS USM.

Looking at the time in the Exif data, the number of shots taken during six seconds was 39. Since 39/6 happens to be 6.5, this at least prooves that the camera isn't that far from the listed speed. The seventh second had six images, but then I couldn't count any longer, as the buffer overflowed, due to the pretty high ISO I had to use.

...and a visit from a mythical title changing creature...

.....The creature, shaped unevenly, like an lazy Gecko, twice trampled by stocky, stampeding tourists skating the buffet in the Bahamas, empathized with LR, having itself been cursed to a lifetime of servitude.

It spoke to LR, via PM, "LR, would you mind if I modify the perception of you in public?"

But, LR could not reply, as the flat Gecko was set to ignore.

So, instead of responding when time remained to change the creature's mind, LR turned to the person next to him and said "You know, they say beauty is only a...........

I have a tv in my computer room. it's a laptop anyway so...I'd still be good. Can't leave ya hangin' LR.

Actually, better for you LR, it's TIVOed so I can concentrate entirely on this thread. :D Hard to beleive this one little thread resulted in a stickie to honor everyone's mistakes and this has become a monument in itself.

Seen on my fellow employees.

Not that this has anything, really, to do with this thread, and the beating herein contained.

Nope.

Nothin.

Just don't ask him to do a FPS test on your new 40D and you'll be safe....then again after page 50 rolls by he may be an expert on the subject.
