Oh! I was wondering where this thread had gone.

I see it is upgrading to the 50D.

I was wondering when this was going to show up here. Man, poor LR. Someone be sure to let him know it.s 6.3 and not 6.5 or more so he doesn't get too worked up when it only hits 6.3.

My thoughts exactly

Troubleshooting 101 (see also: LightRules,perryge):
1) RTFM.
2) Repeat Step 1.

LR, I think you'll be fine with the 50D -- just remember that the Green Box mode is the best all-around setting for everything, including testing the fps, and you won't have any problems!

There is also creative auto which explains everything slowly and in simple english with a patronising voice. It also pats you on the back when you take nice photos!

"You are in low speed continuous shooting mode, the camera will continue to take photos at THREE frame per second while you hold down the shutter button, please contact lightrules on the potn forums for more information."

Canon 5D and a few nice lenses. Sony RX100 is there too! :)

Oh come one guys, I think penitent LightRules has learned his lesson by now to not repeat it with the 50D.

But then again, lightning might just strike twice in the same place... ;)

Glad this thread got revived so I could finally understand what was meant by the references to the "infamous LightRules" thread. Sorry, Jojo, but you just made my afternoon...

If post my 6,000th here, another donation to POTN will be made.

This thread doesn't get revived. It lurks in corners and jumps out at you when you least expect it.

Jojo, someone needs your help understanding the normal and high speed shooting modes, and when it is appropriate to use each one.
