I have no idea whether this is accurate or not in whole or in part but I can say it was one hell of an interesting read about Paul Buff, Alien Bee products blowing up, pictures of pallets of broken products.

It is one hell of a read and depicts Paul Buff and Alien Bees in a very different light than his marketing does.

I'm not sure if it's an ex-employee with an ax to grind, or if it's legit. I do know, my eyes are burning from trying to read that yellow text!

This website and the former employee's claims were discussed on the Paul C. Buff forums. Paul disputed the claims and also disputed the reasons the employee was fired and what his actual position was. (The thread has since been removed.)

As with many things on the web, we likely won't ever know the truth. I will say, if what the former employee says about the Vagabond II's was true, I would have thought we would have seen a lot posted about the problems on many forums and that, to my knowledge, is not the case.

I didn't see this was in another thread. One thing is for sure is that Paul Buff does NOT ever allow differing opinions than his to remain posted on the Buff Forums.

This thread is one of hundreds that have been removed by Paul over the past few months. I'm not in a position to comment as to whether any of the other statements on that site are correct but one thing is definitely certain to anyone who reads the Buff Forums- He does describe Paul's personality 100% accurately.

Until/if I ever meet the guy, I'm not going to make any judgments or assumptions. It's pointless to do so.

Hey Don- Come on. Look at all the judgments and assumptions you were able to make about certain DCRP members just by their constant insane posts ;) (And you were right about them)

Yes. But I didn't read some sort of anti-DCRP members website that was wreaking of disgruntled employee then start a "hey everyone read this and let's see if we should hate the person together" thread.

I made educated guesses...and I could still be wrong. In person they could be quite different.

I only know PB in terms of reading his posts... and I think one could make an edumaketed guess.

OK make an educated guess. But don't start a whole new thread about it. I fail to see the point. Are you attempting to incite a boycott of his products due to his personality?

As I said in post 4 I didn't know this was already posted or I wouldn't have started another thread. Makes sense to lock this thread and leave the original one open.

If I am not Paul C Buff, I would never never use that wedsite name. It's matter of time the lawsuit is coming. In that aspect, I think the author is stupid.

Nope, you can't sue someone for owning a domain name. You can attempt to use trademark laws to retrieve it (and pay for it), but you can;t simply sue someone for using your name/business name in a URL.

He may be sued for libel however, if Paul Buff can prove the ex-employee intentionally lied to put him in a bad light.
