Last Wednesday, I used my 40D attached to my compound microscope to photograph some snowflakes. I got a few that I am satisfied with. I will try to post a couple of photos.

I have a microscope very similar which my mum used when she was younger, but i can't get it to focus for the life of me. I figure it was taken apart at some point and not put together right. I might try and get a new one though. ...............

The light should be very even. Maybe convert to grayscale to eliminate the color outlines? I am actually looking at getting a LED ring light to place below the stage. Most of the more modern lighted microscopes that I have seen on the internet recently are using LED lighting.
