Here are my first studio shoots. i didn't have a light meter so it was really hard to get the right lighting. Let me know what you think :)

#1 I think the little girl should be wearing some sort of top. I know she is a little girl and all, but I think it would be more suiting, other than that I like it.
the rest seem soft (compression maybe)
But they look good.
the lip ring hoop thingy is distracting in a few, and doesn't seem natural. But it depnds on what your going for.
i love the last one the most.
Over all great work, looking forward to seeing more!

The white cloth seems weird to me. Try using black. Less shadow that shows folds.

You're doing just fine without that light meter.. (I don't even know how to use mine yet!)

Agree. Composition-wise i generally like them though. I think the skin looks a little plasticky on a few of them though; especially the first. I would tone down on some of the PP a little.

Thanks for the comments guys. What do you mean by toning down the PP?

Sorry about my friends daughter being topless. That is what she wanted me to shoot her in...

NP at all man thanks for sharing with us. And topless isnt a prob. This is photography, not orthodox church forums...

Also, PP=post processing. or anything done to the image after it was taken. Im guessing that maybe you used some noise reduction on the first shot at least?

Welcome to the forums. This is a great place to get lots of info.. As pointed out already your pic's do seem a tad soft (blurry).. I have the exactly same problem..

I think the blur is either motion blur or done when pp.. Your shutter speed was 1/125 and your f/stop was 8.0.. Both of those should have given you a clear picture but they are a tad soft.. Did you use a tripod? Not that you really need it.. I thinking it had to of happened during pp.. Keep on practicing and posting..

I agree the pictures do seem a little soft, and the white background does seem a little odd.
Maybe toss the white blanket thing in the dyer for a little. And add more light to it.

What a beautiful girl BTW!
