I presume a lot of you watched this programme as well!

What did you make of it? I was quite surprised that a lot of the time they didn't appear to know what they were doing and seemed to be making it up as they went along.

Despite seeing the word 'Nikon' far too many times, I'm looking forward to the next episode!

Hey I did see the Canon word too!! It was not too bad but I feel the bald guy is totally weird with his photos. Germaine Greer was a hoot especially when she told the above mentioned person that he needed more light and faster exposure!! I did enjoy the programme and too look forward to next week.

Had half an eye on it, don't like the judge with glasses, t'other fella seemed cool though - looks like a good programme, would have been nice to see some technical coaching ?

I'm barely amateur but I agree they didn't seem to have a clue what was going on most of the time.

I have to admit I was equipment-spotting. I spotted my camera, lens, tripod and head!

It was good to see Martin Parr on there too. He seems a nice person and is also one of my favourite photographers.

Missed it but watching it on C4+1 just now :)

They are nowhere near a match for many here on this forum!

I had high hopes for the bloke who had only been into photography for a year, but they chucked him out!

Disappointing images overall I thought. Not my cup of tea.

I wonder if they really did pick the best photographers from the ones who submitted work, or maybe instead the programme-makers took into account other factors such as suitability for television (personality and appearance etc).

I find it hard to believe that the people who appeared on that programme were the best photographers. As you said earlier, we see far greater talent on here day in, day out.

I guess you all missed the thread I started on this yesterday :(

Anyhoo, where did they get them from? One woman didn't even understand the basics of exposure ?! Absolute bunch of no-hopers if you ask me.

And as for that Martin Parr, I'm sorry but I place him in the same box as Jane Bown, a commercial photographer who wouldn't know a decent image if it bit him on the backside. </rant>

Is anyone going to post to the show's website?

Yes, it looks as if they have chosen the participants according to factors other than their skill with photography.
