I had just gotten some gas in my truck and was about to get onto the highway again but said let me just stroll thru town first. As soon as i got onto the local street this hawk came swooping in and landed on the pole. i quickly made a uturn and got the camera out. Adjusted the settings and shot this one.

But now what kind of hawk is it?

Its strange how these things work out too. I really had no plans to bring the 40d with the 70-200 and 2x with me. But for some reason i just grabbed it and thru it on the seat. Also with me getting gas, i was just going to cut across the highway and goto the hobby store, but instead took the long way. weird.

It's a red tail hawk. Nice shot. :)
