anyone know if there are other flashes out there that are compatible with the G5 other than the canon series?

maybe a sunpak etc...


Canon 40D, 50Dx2, e-pl1, 580ex, 580ex2 with special attachment...me.
list of equipment: camera. memory card. lens. camera strap. camera bag. tripod, etc...

Well, Sunpak PZ40X for example. It swallows two AA batteries - I mean swallows them all the time and does it fast. They won`t also last long, so you have to keep some extra AA:s in your pocket.

It isn`t good fast situations because it takes quite long a time to charge again after flashing and manufacturer doesn`t recommend lots of flashes at one serie. (Just doesn`t have manual here to check how many.)

But it`s quite cheap, lightweight, fits and looks good to G-series and it has also E-TTL-metering.

It has turning head, but it won`t turn backwards or sidewards. To me those are biggest minuses.
