Didn't Nikon just anounce a new camera, snigger snigger, 12.2 Mp with a 1.5* crop....

Looks like canon does it again,

Repeat "I do not need or want a 1Ds Mk2, I do no t need or want..... who the hell am I kidding

I guess we can no longer refer to the 1D MKII anymore as just the "MKII"!

Actually with the price they have mentioned I don't think so - it will most likely have a UK street price of £5000.
If the Nikon 2DX is only £3500, then i will be dumping all my Canon gear.

my god! here was me thinking canon would rip us in the uk off with a street price of £5000 when dpreview actually says £6000.

someone should tell canon that $8,000 = £4,457 - not £6,000
