I've got the set up blues.

O the joys of getting a new system up and running! I know it will be worth it in the end, but things are going slowly for me. Thank goodness I am not touching this (my old) system.

PC/Vista

First, sys. can't find 2nd monitor.
Second, sys. can't find new 150gb Raptor HD.
Third, network can't find the internet.
Forth, I can't find my a$$ with both hands & a scoop shovel.

If this keeps up like this for more than a couple of days I'll be suicidal.

Sorry I can't help you with any of your problems, but thought your humor at least deserved a <bump> to the top of the message boards. Hope someone can help... with the first 3 items on your list, that is.

Update:

System found 2nd monitor - bad cable.
System found Raptor hard drive - left a cable off. (me)
System still looking for internet.
System has lost GeForce 8500 graphics card.

I called the help center in Pakistan and said that I was suicidal and they got all excited and asked me if I could drive a truck.

I am learning about my system.

How about that fourth item on your list... not that I'm offering any help, mind you.

I was going to throw in that Pakistan/Truck joke yesterday, but I wasn't sure how it would go down! Glad to see this forum is prepared to stoop to my level of humour!

did you throw the cdrom that came with the motherboard into the cdrom drive and install all the drivers?
The driver for the onboard ethernet is there....
