it's a beautiful scene Wazza and the comp is really good, for me the HDR is obvious and although it does give some 'pop' to the image the telltale signs are the fringing around the hiltops and the sky. The HDR has also accentuted the "hyperbola" shape in the sky. Producing this from one file would also have caused some quality issues. Good hunting on your coming trip, bracket those shots!

Impressive PP work, doesn't look like most HDRs which tend to be overdone. Nice improvement.

Thanks, that was the idea, to get it as subtle as possible so it was more natural looking. Before sharing, it was probably only 40% this strength, so more natural looking, but not so popping.

Re Anke's comment about being overdone.
In my view most of the HDR pictures posted look like they are part of a "Hollywood Epic" and way over the top. Not many have been processed in a genteel way as with the above posting.

Or straight from the movie 300... :p

Thanks

As others have already said, very nice work. It doesn't look HDR and I think that's a good thing. I think a good HDR should look natural and this does the job. Keep it up.

Cheers :)

Yeah I know what you mean.
Always wish I had changed something with all my shots! This time I was travelling with only memory cards, a brand new 1D III bought only 1 day before I left, and no laptop/memory bank at that point. 12Gb of cards was JUST enough for 11-12 days in Thailand/Cambodia with 15Mb raw files
