I've been trying my hand at food photography for the last week or so on account of boredom and a lack of willing subjects but I'm finding it to be pretty fun. Let me know what you think I would love to hear any critiques or comments.

(I screwed up the kiwi a bit with an unintentional crop in camera)

Nice photographs. :-) I like that kiwi fruit photo. You could repair that in Photoshop by extending the canvas width and cloning in some hairy bits from eleswhere in the photo!

Ihilg780: Haha, thanks for the comment. Good eye for details

Mike-DT6: Yeah I had considered that but I wasn't sure how much I really wanted to alter my photos.

TeriD: For the second picture (and the fourth) I just added a vignette in Lightroom and turned the blue saturation up a little bit.

Bootsie: Thanks, the kiwi is my favorite also.

Flexipack: For the lighting setups, I went into a little detail on flickr, but heres a recap.

The kiwi: I used a beauty dish made from a plastic mixing bowl with a Sunpak 383 through the back - I covered the front with paper and put the Kiwi onto that. The result would be much like putting it on a lightbox.

The Drink: I used two bare 383's from either side.

The Cookies: I used the same mixing bowl beauty dish here but in a normal upright fasion, and on the other side of the cookies I used a white piece of foam board for fill.

The Strawberry: I used a similar setup as the cookies above, except instead of the foam board I added another flash on the left with the light snooted.
