I want to buy the 5D kit like from B&H or Adorama and sell the 24-105, but....does the 24-105 come in a standard "L" box or one of those white kit boxes?
Thanks

It is worth noting though that this was an early version of the kit so I don't know if it has changed or indeed if packaging varies in different markets.

Of course it will sell easier if it comes with the normal box and paperwork My Flickr

If I am buying a used 24-105L IS (I don't care if it has never been attached to a camera), I would expect to pay at least $150-$200 less than a brand new, store bought lens. I don't even care whether you had the original box or not (perhaps if you had the original box and it was factory sealed, then I would pay a higher price). My point is, that whatever savings you expect to gain from buying a kit might be lost on the resale of the lens. If you are planning to use the 24-105 L then it is a much better deal to buy them together. Otherwise I agree 100% with cneville101 that the pure aggravation of having to sell the lens, including listing, shipping, listing fees, etc just are NOT worth it!!! Buy the body only IMHO. Thanks for all the input My Flickr
