Don't skimp on the UV filter if you really need one for protection. - Tim

Not cheap though. £130 for both. I figured that I might as well get the best seeing as the lens cost so much. I'm going to be posting a IQ comparison between the two and no filter at all when they arrive. 5D & Grip, 17-40 f4, 70-200 f2.8 IS, 50mm 1.4, 85mm1.2 580EX 430EX II, Tamron SP AF 90mm f/2.8 Macro. Rickety tripod.
