The reason I chose canon is that I've worked with for most of my life, I like the less-cluttered feeling of canon, and I like the turn direction of Canon lens's focal length rings for zooms. I know, the reasons seem dumb, but that is kind of how close canon and nikon are to me as a photojournalist. gear
