The mkIII is one amaziing body, 6400 ISO still suprises me. You read a lot about other systems and I'm sure they're top notch, but I have to say I'm very happy with my mkIII. Seems like it's been raining forever and haven't been out to shoot much so I thought I'd take some shots of my daughter tonight.
First shot is 6400 ISO second is at 3200, didn't run them through any noiseware and there is no NR set in camera, just RAW converted in DPP. I do expose a bit to the right then drop exposer in RAW conversion a couple notches. I find this helps a bit with the noise.

6400 ISO

nice one matt, after shooting with ISO 2000+ all week with night games at the tennis i realised you had to nail exposure, a little underexposed was ok over exposed not so much but spot on and using 3200 with noise reduction turned on as well as highlight tone priority noise was like shooting at 800 on the 30D, it was fantastic, the M3 is such a beast

Thanks Michael,
Seems when I underexpose the noise can get worse so I just make sure to get it right or overexpose about a 1/2 stop and this seems to help:) I haven't used HTP all that much, think I'll start playing with it and see what happens.
