Cool old truck from a truck graveyard/ghost town in Arizona. Any tips on the processing would be appreciated. For some reason it doesn't look right to me, but I can't identify why since I really don't know what I am doing.:D

Thanks for the feedback. Was thinking there may be too much contrast between the brights and shadows (if that's even a concept). It was a bright day so that was basically how I saw it though.

No - that is absolutely a possibility. If you are ever questioning it - know that the rule of thumb is for a black and white to have both a true black and a true white. After you have that, look at the shadows and see if you have details in them, or are they crushed. Same for the whites, any detail or are they blown out.

Yeah, makes sense. Maybe the shadows were throwing me. Thanks again.

Ha. I came 1,500 miles from where I live, but I am working out here in AZ. It's worth the trip if you like stuff like bone yards and especially landscape photography. Oh and girls too...there are a lot of very "photogenic" ones here in Phoenix.

Here's another one from the same truck bone yard. If you are an old truck fan and in AZ, this is definitely a place you want to see.

Sounds like the place for me then, I always like the concept of the ghost town or mining operation that just abandoned everything and left. One day when I have the time to make the drive again I will scout out several locations so I know the general direction I am going instead of randomly trying to find locations. Great stuff there you have.

To me, that truck, with the gleaming clean windshield, does not look that abandoned. Actually both don't look well cared for- but abandoned- naw.

Good point. The headlights look too clean and unbroken, too. And, the tires look brand new.

Yeah, true. I guess I broke the rules and should be beaten or something. The trucks are at a boneyard and the guy that owns it used to take some of the vehicles to shows. He doesn't anymore from what I heard, but some are still in pretty good condition. Others are basically wrecks. Also remember that these are in Arizona where vehicles take much longer to deteriorate than in other states. Here's another one from the same place that's more representative of the condition of a lot of the vehicles and in line with the theme of the thread.

Some of those tires look to have lots of life left!
