So, I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. I go back for visits regularly. 2 years ago, on one of my visits, I passed by a row of 3 abandoned car dealerships near where I went to High School. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed there was a car parked in one of the showrooms, of these otherwise abandoned dealerships. Interesting, but ultimately no big deal.

FFWD to last week. I'm back in town for another visit, and I pass by said car dealerships again, which are still abandoned, and this car is STILL in the showroom just sitting there. I decide to investigate further. This is what I found:

This appears to be a mid-80's Chrysler LeBaron (K-car), in MINT condition (minus the flat tires). No idea why it's been sitting in that dealership's showroom like this. In the past, this was a Chrysler/Jeep dealer, and I have heard that the owner of this dealer liked to keep classic cars in his showroom(s), so I guess this one just got left behind. Pretty neat!

That hurts to see. I always wanted a LeBaron like that!

That Dozer is awesome.

I'm looking for harsh criticism of my photos - tell me how to improve, I will be grateful.

In a number of third world countries, that's considered a perfectly fine, seaworthy vessel. A lot will only paint their vessels once every so often, and that rust stains is just that- it does not reflect anything about seaworthiness.. In most third world countries, how it looks is one thing, making money with it is another, but spending money unnecessarily on cosmetic maintenance- most don't believe in wasting money doing that.

I love seeing big car graveyards in the woods, something about nature reclaiming them is quite magical. Got anymore pictures of this?

Yes - i have got about 5-600 of them, however i have only uploaded a few to flickr. If wanted i could do a seperate thread on this graveyard - it's truly unique. Theres even a few buses in there, as well as cabins / houses containing different parts. Anyways - heres a few more :
