From the October 2017 fire in Northern California. The firestorm came onto this hilltop subdivision without warning. This vehicle was damaged by the heat radiation, not the actual flames from the firestorm.

Interesting that all the cars are lined up to each other nicely, and all cars look to be roughly in the same condition!

I thought exactly same.
Looks bit more than a place to dump your unwanted cars.

It looks as if they have been systematically stripped. All the glass looks to be missing along with the 'donks'.

That Honda is going to need a bit more than a respray init!

My ambition for a good while is to grow old disgracefully. So far my wife tells me that I am doing really well!

I thought it was interesting that the tires appear to be damaged by the fire.

I first came across these car in 2009. They are all 1970s era cars. I posted a couple photos of these from my 2009 visit in this thread on page 64. A lot more graffiti has appeared on the cars compared to how they looked in 2009. Almost all of them are missing their engines. There are some other abandoned cars in the area parked by some of the abandoned buildings. This is out in the Ludlow area along the BNSF Needles subdivision.

Is that neat Area 51?

Perhaps something is trying to get home -?-?-?

Donks = engines, yes Insp C you are completely correct. A bit of English slang.

Just a quick aside. Ever heard of Cockney rhyming slang?

A wonderful language that was used so that the Cockney 'erks' could natter without the hoy-perloy knowing what was going on.
