Wow, I have been all around MSH and never come across the truck. Would you mind sharing the location? I’d like to see it the next time I’m in the area.

My ambition for a good while is to grow old disgracefully. So far my wife tells me that I am doing really well!

An old Toronto, Ont. streetcar, lovingly known as the Red Rocket.

As a retired firefighter I find this very sad. During its operational life it would have been very well looked after and highly polished! Hopefully someone will come along and restore it!

I'll second that. Too good to sit there and be lost. Yes, hopefully someone will rescue it.

This came to grief, possibly due to ice. It's been abandoned, for now

After taking this photo, I went back to the site a week later and it was gone.

The department I was on for 25 years had a '56 Seagrave aerial long before me,and then a '73 Seagrave 100 foot rear mount. I operated from her until 2003, when she was retired and replaced with a Pierce 105' rear mount.
We still had a '63 Seagrave pumper, in service, as our antique unit, when I left in 2013.

I was an officer with the REFD for 12 years, 90% of the time in the front seat of the first due engine in town.
I had the privilege of being Chief of Department for 8 years...an absolute honor to lead these brave firefighters.

This is me from about 2008. Silly white coats...
