Nice, I actually like the front facing two, better. I know you've got the highway in front of you in these shots, but the streaks work really well.

Were you using a gelled speedlight?

Way overexposed I know, I was just starting to learn when I made this shot.

Yep. Lots of fun to do. A lot of people don't appreciate it because they don't understand what goes into a shot like that. They don't realize that the shot was taken around 1am, long exposure, etc.

I can definitely relate.

I haven't made it much out your way yet, but I might now that it's cooling off a bit. I know there's a ton of great stuff to shoot out near Odessa and Midland. We'll definitely hook up some night.

Yeah there are all kinds of things to shoot within a 2 hour radius. I'm ready whenever.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and call that a "Troy Paiva" style photo. ;)
Looks good. :)

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

You got it. I've been a fan of his work for a long time. I'm just now getting around to trying it. I think it was a decent first try. I'd kill to attend on of his workshops.

I've also been a fan of Troy's work for more than a few years. In fact, he's been keeping me updated of his show's via email. I know he was on the road extensively for quite a while to put his collection of works together.

Found this old Ford in a yard in Menard, Tx. Anybody know what year it is?
Processing was light HDR followed by Topaz Black and White Effects. Canon 40D with 28-135 lens.

I don't know about the year, but that’s a beauty. I've shot a few other vehicles in and around Menard. (it seems it's a good place for this type of subject)

Was this an occupied property or ?
