Mine was a Mamiya MSX 500 with a Mamiya Sekor 50mm F/1.8 lens..I later bought a Soligor 200mm F3.5 for it..The Maimya came with M42 screw lens mount..It had an amazingly fast maximum shutter speed of 500th sec..Bought new in 1975..

I sold it 12 months later to a friend and bought a 1971 vintage Nikon F which I still have..

First SLR I used was a Canon AE1. My first SLR (that is mine and not someone elses) is my 20D.

My first personal SLR was the Canon A1 purchased in 1976. I ha been shooting with a Canon F-1 at work and really liked the feel of the Canon cameras. Anyway, the A1 is a great camera and built like a tank. It was in steady operation until I got tired dragging around all the stuff that goes along with SLR cameras. My bag probably weighed close to thirty pounds and I went back to smaller, more compact 35mm film cameras for a few years and migrated over to digitals. A few years back I picked up a 5D for work and it blew me away. The quality of pics just didn’t match anything the compacts were putting out so I went back to SLRs and once again my bag is probably 30 pounds.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Yeah I had one of the famous Pentax B.S.H. film models as well, but did not use it often.
It was Digital that got me actually shooting, and my first DSLR was the 10D

My dad had an AE-1, and then after our house got robbed, the ins co replaced it with an AE-1Program. I'll count that. The first slr that was actually mine was an EOS 630. I still have both the EOS630 and the AE-1P that was my dad's.

First was a Canon AT-1. I bought it and a Canon 50mm f/1.8 FD right before we had our fist baby. As soon as I got it, I started reading and practicing. I still have it and it still works.
