( I used to borrow my Dad's Canon FTB before that) Bought one when they first came out. I still have it and use it every now and then. It is literally lasting a lifetime. Oh yeah if you saw it you would swear it is only a year or two old by it's condition. Only thing I have ever done to it is new seals and lubrication. 6D, 5D, 7Dii, Eos R and too many lenses, flashes and aux. gear to list!

More info | Jun 20, 2011 19:49 | #216 My very first camera was a Kodak Instamatic, one of the 126 format ones. The first SLR was actually my Dad's but he was mostly shooting 8mm movie at that time so I got it, a Practika Nova B, with the 50mm f2.8 lens that it came with as standard. I guess that I must have been around 10 or 11 when I started shooting with it. I actually bought a Helios 135mm f2.8 for that camera, the first lens that I ever got.

Phoenixkh a mere speck More info | Jun 27, 2011 10:39 | #218 I can't remember the model of my first (and so far, only) SLR. A friend gave it to me.. It was used when he got it and he gave it to me in 1977. It was a Minolta with a 1.4 50mm lens. I only remember that because he replaced it with a camera that only had a 1.8 lens and he often spoke of how much he missed the better low light capacity.
