Pentax ME- still have it, operates and looks like new! which makes one wonder what a digital camera would operate and look like after 30+ years!!

Canon a-1 was the first I owned outright. ( I used to borrow my Dad's Canon FTB before that) Bought one when they first came out. I still have it and use it every now and then. It is literally lasting a lifetime. Oh yeah if you saw it you would swear it is only a year or two old by it's condition. Only thing I have ever done to it is new seals and lubrication.

6D, 5D, 7Dii, Eos R and too many lenses, flashes and aux. gear to list!

Minolta X-700, bought in 1984 (still have it, but haven't touched it in years). Before that, I shot a borrowed Canon A-1.

I think my first was the Minolta X-700. I then moved on to the Canon T90. Boy I loved that camera :)

My very first camera was a Kodak Instamatic, one of the 126 format ones. The first SLR was actually my Dad's but he was mostly shooting 8mm movie at that time so I got it, a Practika Nova B, with the 50mm f2.8 lens that it came with as standard. I guess that I must have been around 10 or 11 when I started shooting with it. I actually bought a Helios 135mm f2.8 for that camera, the first lens that I ever got.
The first SLR that I actually owned was a Pentax ME Super with 50mm f1.7 SMC. That was a Christmas present when I was 15 or 16, and so much nicer than the old Prackticka.

I can't remember the model of my first (and so far, only) SLR. A friend gave it to me.. It was used when he got it and he gave it to me in 1977. It was a Minolta with a 1.4 50mm lens. I only remember that because he replaced it with a camera that only had a 1.8 lens and he often spoke of how much he missed the better low light capacity.

Anyway, this Minolta was so old it didn't have a hot shoe for a flash or through the lens light metering. It had a small light meter on the left side of the top of the camera case. I gave it to our youngest son when he was a teen and wanted to learn to shoot. He has since gone on to be a far better photographer than me, though I'm sort of starting again with my purchase of a G12. He has a 5D classic with a nice assortment of primes.

If anyone recalls a Minolta similar to the one I described, let me know. I shot a lot of rolls of film with it when our sons were young.

Look at that will you?? I have the exact setup along with a Nikon F, F90X and F801s..

My FE2 along with my F90X and F801s are in the hands of my niece who still shoots film.

My two favourite Nikons are the F2AS Photomic (mine long sold) and FE2..

First one I had was a Mamiya Sekor Korvette, fixed lens job in 1968, replaced by a Praktica L in 1972.

My first was a Nikon EM camera. Got it back in '84 I think.
