I searched and found several mixed reviews on the 35-350 and I just used a 100-400 over the weekend and loved it so I am trying to make a choice.

Looking for the definitive answer. Thanks.

Scott

Scott.....maybe not too definitive. I've got a 35-350 and am more than happy with it as a "one lens fits all" solution for times when I've no idea what I'll need. AF is a little lazy by modern standards and it's not the sharpest piece of glass out there...what 10x zoom would be.
If IQ and sharpness is your thing then the 100-400 will be quite a way in front (I haven't got one but I know it's not too far behind a 400/5.6 in performance). The 35-350 is a heavy beast but alludes an air of indestructability....I always maintain you could play baseball with it and not worry too much.
Hope that is a start for you.....

Bob

Thanks Bob, this was a big help. I can think of a few places where having a lens that doubles as a club could come in handy! ;):D

since you already have the 24-105 according to your sig I'd pick the 100-400 for sure then, it will have much better image quality then the 35-350, and slightly more reach on the long end of things
