This place is called the Ice Barn. It is a temporary rink set inside a building at the Wyoming State Fairgrounds. The only good thing about the lighting is that it was even. I managed 1/320, f/2.8 (f/3.2 on some but that was a mistake) at ISO 3200. When I viewed the photos in DPP on my laptop I was very disappointed. When I got home yesterday I imported them into Lightroom and on my HD Monitor I was a bit happier. Here's the photo from the weekend tournament that was published in the paper today.
The boys played the league-leading home town team. With eight seconds left the score is tied at 4. This is our goalie giving his team some encouragement.
What do you think about this for ISO 3200? This is exported from Lightroom using LR noise reduction and a bit of sharpening.
