Do You Have a Grip?

I liked using a grip with my old D200, but since I switched to my 5D, I prefer to shoot without one. Partly because the Canon grips seem really cheap to me, and the 5D feels pretty good without a grip IMO.

Yea the Canon grips do feel a little cheap. I have always thought so too. I was pretty impressed when I felt a gripped nikon the first time. They are a better, but nothings better than a 1D body!

The only cameras that have grips are the non-removable ones. Otherwise, I find grips to add unnecessary bulk and weight. And I'd bet you'd collapse from fatigue before you could do one whole shoot completely using up one fully charged BP-511A battery. So having the extra battery in there is of limited use imo.
