Got one for my XTi. I use it almost 100% of the time. I only take it off if I want to do some light shooting and don't feel like lugging around the extra weight. I like the feel of the grip a lot better than without it.

When shooting events I always put it on. That helps so much for portraits and the extended battery life is a + (with AA option) Eugene Kim

I held off buying it for over a year, thinking it was of little use and that I would be better spending the money elsewhere but having read so many positive comments I bought one and now love it. It makes it alot more comfortable. My 430ex and 17-55mm IS get a bit heavy. Since I'm planing on picking up a 70-200mm 4L later, the extra grip space will help. My GF now thinks it's a monstrosity, especially when comparing it to here SD1100IS. lol Gear: Canon 50D, Canon 17-55 2.8 IS, Canon 70-200L 2.8 IS, Speedlite 430EX
