First shots with the 40D, Dog and Birds

Got my 40D yesterday and was going out today to give it a good trail, jut my luck in a state which has had the worst drought in history for the past 4 or so years, it was pouring all day. Lucky for me I had two highly annoying and loud butcher Birds come take shelter under the veranda which made a good photo opportunity. The dog also made an appearance, full of energy and bounding about in anticipation of getting its photo taken.
