The second episode of my Sports Photography Podcast has been posted to:

http://www.sportsphotographycast.com (external link)

navigate to the "Podcast" link in the header and go to Episode 2.

Here's a summary of the 'cast:

Shooting indoor sports has many interesting challenges. In this video podcast, we’ll be discussing what some of these challenges are and how you can overcome them.

Topics of discussion include large aperture lenses, high-ISO shooting, noise reduction, Custom White Balance and light color cycling

This is a video podcast, so hopefully you have a broadband connection. I'm using images like those below (all shot under ambient light) to illustrate concepts involved as well as selected videos.

I am a newbie to photography but have quickly caught the bug! Recently I find that I never leave home without my camera bag. Both of my children play sports: football, soccer, basketball, lacrosse and tennis. I take roughly 300-500 pics per game at both the middle shool and high school level. Outdoor is so much easier than inside but have found this website extremly help:)ful. I could spend hours a day here if I had the time. I did find and listen/watch the 2 recent podcasts. I will be stopping at the local photshop this afternoon to pick up a white card. I can not begin to thank you so much for all the direction you have given me. I will try to be brave enough to post a few phots in another week or so. Thank again.
Alisae:)

Could be, but whadya mean you "got nothing"? You might get a slow load time (a function of your ISP speed and the Apple .mac servers) but I haven't heard of anyone getting "nothing"...

I figure eventually I'll move the podcast to a dedicated ISP, but for now it's more experimental.

Thanks for all the + comments.
