I was wondering if this lens extends when zooming and if anyone has any pictures of it mounted on camera?

I decided to do some more reading and came across this little gem of a lens. After many good reviews and a low low price I decided it would be a good starting point to see what FL I spend most of my time at and will function as a decent outdoor walkaround.

Jimmer411,
Yes it extends when zooming, its a great lens for its cost (to my eyes ;) ).
Enjoy your new lens :)

It does extend during zooming, but the front element doesn't rotate, so using filters is not a problem.
Don't have any pics of it on camera, but you can see them here:

Nice very attractively priced lens, the AF is very fast and precise even in low light, imho it's a bit long at the wide end on a crop camera, but personally I quite like it's focal range and use it as a walk-around lens for more than a year. Build quality and IQ are very decent for the price, the contrast is a bit low though. Works very well for candid shots.

I used to have one, and was surprised at how sharp it was with my 20D. It'll definitely make a nice walk-around lens (apart from the aforementioned longish 28=45mm on a crop camera).
