The upper part of the modified version is too dark, i suggest...Can you offer a RAW file for download to see if the Cs2 "Pros' can fix it? (not me :3)

Ditto on the things already said. My other critique would be NOT to square the shoulders off. Everyone should be at an angle toward the camera. That gives the image some perspective and doesn't make women look wide. Benji has put out a wonderful tutorial on portraits. I don't think that it's uploaded here, but it's a great resource. Ditto the others, but I also find the bounced flash in the mirror semi distracting. (I am assuming this is what it is?)

Possibly. All I really did is remove the color cast by setting a white point and used the mantle.

It looks as if your AF locked onto the mirror frame in the background, instead of the people. It is very sharp, the people, not as much. You'll often have this problem if 1) you have a very "busy" background, and 2) you use all of the AF points rather than just the center AF point.
