I think Caumet is accidentally pissing off a couple of customers by trying to help as many as possible. i think the web site automatically sends the order to the closest store and if they are OOS, you wait. but if you call in an order and someone actually sees it, they do their best to locate one and get it out to you.

i ordered mine last thursday, they shipped them out Friday from Philly and I had them on my door step Monday afternoon. but I followed up after my order to ask for an estimated ship date.

I've ordered a bunch of things from Calumet. Everything has arrived on time. The only exception was my pocket wizards that were placed on back order. And even then when I placed my order online, it said that those items were not being shipped then and were on backorder. Never have talked to any representative on the phone and never had a reason to..

I'll have to check it out, as I am a car guy and want to get an s2000 once I can find a job.

Hi,

After months of grueling research I decided to order the Genesis 200 Watt kit. I missed the boat on the $299 price, but even at $369 felt it was the best kit for the money.

I ordered my kit on January 27th knowing the kit was back-ordered for a few weeks. I called yesterday, Feb 5th, for an update on the status of my kit and was told that Calumet had no idea when the kit's would be back in stock and I should not expect to see anything in February, that early March would be more realistic.

Now, I'm not sure whether to start the whole process over again or just wait it out. Unfortunately, I really didn't see any other kits in this price range that were comparable. I know there are many AB lovers on this forum, but the price on those units is really out of my reach.

not to mention they aren't any better, and most (except Bee owners themselves) will say they aren't even as good (factoring in the color shift issues and they're not digital)

I think Calumet just wasn't ready for the popularity of these lights. Hopefully they can bring the supply back into line with the demand soon.

I just got mine this morning. 4 days shipped from Cali.

I still don't have a Tracking number or any word on my order.

Guess I'd better call Calumet again.

even on my order page there was no tracking number. i wouldn't worry. i think they ship them from different locations and only give the employees an option to mark the order as shipped.

How long ago did you order?

haha. i am actually very happy with the service i got. they sent me an email after i ordered just to let me know the status. it was a personal email that i never expected. they shipped my lights the day after i ordered. i didn;t care about the tracking since they shipped them on a friday from Philly so i knew they would be here on Monday.

After many calls and ordering my on Jan 15, my lights showed up yesterday.
I will make a separate post about the trouble I went through and how Calumet took care of the problem and even went one step farther to make sure I was happy and now a customer for life.
