Would it allow for an even longer exposure or would it cause a problem (I understad that some IS systems can become upset if on a tripod). all the best Mark Probably depends on the lens. If you could truly get a stable platform using this (which I doubt), some lenses could handle it differently than others. If you've still got movement, even greatly reduced, you might be helping the IS a bit. -David
