My brand new Canon 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 II USM lens :D But unfortunately UPS trucks are refrigerated so my lens fogged up immediately when I put it on the camera :(

Well heres the box, no damage :D

Wow USM is quiet! a little high pitched but way way quieter than my 50mm 1.8. Perfectly balanced for my hands on a gripless XTi. Metal mount makes a HUGE difference in my opinion, the overall feel of everything just makes it feel secure and solid when going on compared to the plastic.

Is the lens housing made out of some type of metal? This lens makes me wanna upgrade to a 50mm 1.4 badly, and swap out my 18-55 for a 10-22...

Congrats. The 28-105 is one of the first lenses I picked up, and it's wonderful, fantastic value for money. I have held off on getting a 24-105 L because it's so good that I don't feel a need to upgrade it.

Now go shoot and show us some pics!

I plan too this weekend! Have to goto work tonight :(

But just snapping around the house this lens looks sharp so far. Looks like down the line the 24-105L will be the perfect upgrade for me, I am much much happier with this focal range vs the 24-70 I owned for a short period.
