Newborn

I was at work driving down the highline right-of-way when I noticed 2 buzzards on the ground near a cow. The cow darted toward the buzzards to run them off so I figured she was either injured or had a new calf. The new calf was just minutes old and still wet. The mother was a little agitated so I left them alone but I did run the buzzards off.

Great timing!

If I hadn't seen the buzzards I never would have seen the calf. It was so close to the same color as the grass that it was almost invisible from a distance.
